I've been so busy working on my projects for my Scrapbooking Memories Masters Competition Entry that I haven't had time to update too much on here. I've had the kids home on school holidays but we didn't do much because I was working on the Masters. Thankfully that's all finished now and it's on it's way to Sydney. Because that's been the only scrapping I've been doing I have nothing to share. The kids did have some friends over to keep them occupied during the holidays, while I was busy. Micayla had her friend Paige over for a sleepover. She also had visits from Chloe and Hayden, Jaeda and we paid a little visit to Colleen so Micayla could see her friend Emma. They also went for a sleepover at their Oma and Opa's while Adrian and I had a couple of days away together in Macedon and the Macedon Spa. A little more on that later.
Well you know that I have a new camera. The next day after buying the camera we went to Mitchell Van der geers 1st birthday and I took lots of photos just to play with my camera. Here are some of the photos from that day.
By the time is was the 'cutting of the cake time', Mitchell was fast asleep. I thought this was a nice mother and son moment.
This is Erwin and Kerrie's eldest, Jordan. He's nearly 3 and enjoying a yummy piece of vanilla mud birthday cake.
You can tell he really enjoyed it.
This was just a shot I took of Micayla, just playing with the camera settings.
This was present opening time but I think Mitchell was more interested in Daddy's beer!!!
My kids were having a ball helping to open the presents, as all kids do. LOL
The next day the kids went to Adrian's parents and we went off to Macedon. It was a very relaxing couple of days away but it rained the whole time. We even got snow, but we were fast asleep when this happened. On the Monday we both went for a gorgeous 1 hour aromatheraphy relaxation massage. That was just totally awesome. Then we went for a drive in the rain. We went to visit some wineries but the were all shut except for the one at Hanging Rock. When we got there were found there was a gate entry of $10.00. We thought it was worth paying that when it was p***ing down with rain and all we wanted was to visit the winery. We decided to come back in better weather and make a day of it with the kids. But these are the photos we got of Hanging Rock.
The rock from the road through the car window. Didn't even want to get out of the car in the rain to take the photo, so just waited for the windscreen wipers to clear the window before I took the shot.
And this is the picture of the rock at the front gate. LOL
This is the view from out room. As you can see the view is blocked by crappy weather.
This is the view from the restaurant at the resort. We had dinner here on the Monday night. The meal was awesome. For dessert we had the tasting plate for 2. It was a little bit of everything on the dessert menu. Adrian only ate a little bit of it and I ate the rest. Was so full afterwards. The restaurant had windows all around so you got a 360 degree view of the Macedon Ranges. Pity you couldn't see much.
We were enjoyed a glass of wine in the spa. What else can you do when it's so wet outside. Very relaxing anyway, especially after a massage.
I found this kangaroos feeding outside our door the morning we were leaving.
Then on Saturday 12th July we went to Darren and Mel's for Kealy's 7th birthday. They just got themselves a puppy that morning. Poor dog didn't know what it had been brought home to. The house was full of kids that just wanted to chase and cuddle him. Poor little thing ended up throwing up. They called the puppy "Biffo". Here are a couple of photos to share.
Apologies to the Fox family. The dog's name is Biffa. He copped a biffo though, ~L~.
Micayla and Kealy
Bailey kept wrestling with the puppy. This was the best shot I could get that wasn't all blurry. Still working the camera out.
And here's Micayla having a cuddle with "Biffo"
