Christmas in Moama and Dubbo

Finally, I've managed to blog what we did for Christmas and the holidays. Better late than never so they say. You may want to grab a coffee.

On 22nd December we left for Moama where we spent our Christmas.

On 23rd December, Adrian got the bike out for the kids to ride and Bailey had his first ride. Now that he's off the training wheels he can balance on the bike but he's not tall enough to put his feet on the ground so Adrian runs after him. He did really well.
Then Scott, Tania and the kids arrived to share Christmas with us. They arrived on the 23rd and then on Christmas day, Scott cooked a spit roast for lunch and he did an awesome job. It was delicious. Here are the kids opening their presents.
Bailey wanted to go to the toilet. The presents were in the annexe and of course he had to go past all the presents to get to the toilet. I didn't want him to see all the presents before I had the video out to see his reaction. So I made him close his eyes and I covered them as I took him to the toilet. Then when it was time to go and get his presents and we had the video on him, he closed his eyes cause that's what he thought he had to do because of the going to the toilet issue. So cute!
Just to make sure they got all their presents out they climbed inside their stockings.
They both got incar DVD players between them. This is a godsend on long trips. Especially seeing we were off to Dubbo the next day.
Don't you just love the mess of Christmas. Bailey got just what he was asking for "Big Mac". That's what he calls the Mack truck from Cars. Whenever someone asked what he wanted for Christmas he would just say "Big Mack", nothing else. Everyone first thought he justed wanted a hamburger.
Micayla got a My Scene Rollerblade doll, her first scrapbooking tote, a boogie board and a whole heap of other stuff. Bailey got lots of 'Cars' cars and the Spin City Hot Wheels track and loads of other stuff too. Adrian got a shirt and necklace and I got a tripod YAY!!!
On Boxing Day we left for Dubbo with Scott and Tania to visit Paul and Leah. They were having a Christening for their new baby Bridie over the Christmas.

The kids got to experience a lot of things while at Dubbo. Micayla had a go at Scubba Diving with Scott's help in Paul and Leah's pool.
Bailey had a ride on the 4 wheeler with Adrian.
And Adrian and Scott were whizzing Bailey around the pool in a figure 8, non stop as if he was on a kneeboard. He was using Micayla's boogie board.
Paul and Scott were teaching the kids how to shoot an air riffle at tin cans. This photo was actually taken back at the river. I wasn't around to get a photo while they were doing it in Dubbo. We don't normally have guns with us when we are away but Scott brought this one back from Dubbo with him for himself to use.
Paul also took us out to the Macquarie River. It was beautiful, it had a pebbly beach and it was beautiful to swim in. Paul took the kids for rides up and down the river in his dingy. Forgot to take the camera this day, couldn't believe I forgot the camera. Tania forgot hers too.
This is the day of the Christening.
Leah and Bridie

Kate and Ella. Kate is Paul and Scott's niece and Ella is Paul's eldest daughter, she's 2.

This was back at Paul and Leah's house after lunch before we were about to get in the car for the 8 hour trip back to Moama.
We got back to the river around 9pm on the 30th. The following day obviously was New Years Eve. We had a 'Tropical Cocktail Party'.
Here we all are in costume.
And this is the mess of the cocktail party. The kids were even making up their own cocktails of chocolate, fruit, milk, lemonade and whatever else non alcoholic that they thought might taste good. They said it tasted good, but I wonder????
Adrian, Scott and I were the last ones up and we got to bed after 4am. Tania was the only one up early and was down at the river with the kids while they swam. The rest of us didn't surface until 3.30pm and Scott finally arose at 4.30pm. I got up earlier, cooked bacon and eggs for breaky, cause I was just STARVING. Didn't feel hungover cause I was still p***ed. Went back to sleep for a while and then woke up hungover.
Bailey had his first ride behind the boat on the kneeboard.

Micayla is getting really good now too. We took the stabalizing bar of the kids training skies, so now she is skiing totally independately and moving out across the wake. She says by next Christmas she'll be on 1 ski. I think she's right too.
Looking at the kids one morning, they just looked so gorgeous with their golden tans and just had to snap a few photos. Bailey is as cheeky as ever.
Micayla is as pretty as a picture. Actually one of the little boys in her class last year said Micayla was as beautiful as a rose and has a lovely smile. How gorgeous!
During the last few days of the holiday, Emma and Russell and family, Sharelle, Brian and Paige and Kath and John and the boys all joined us. They had lots of fun too. Here is Emma and Russell's Sophie jumping from the high rail on the mooring on the property we camp on. She just had to do what the big boys were doing.
Here are all the kids from the abovementioned having a ball jumping in and out of the biscuit.
We packed up and came home on the 6th. We were away for 2 weeks, which was a long time for us. Lots and Lots of cleaning when we got home. It took me all week.
Thanks for making it to the end.
